Stages of herpes
Herpes is a viral disease which is sexually transmitted from one person to another. It can be prevented but not cured. Prevention can be done by following safety measures as advised by the medical practitioners. The virus which causes the disease is classified as: HSV-1 virus HSV-2 virus Although both the virus vary in their area of manifestation, but most of the time they develop different strains of viral infection identically. Basically they nature of the outbreak of the blisters and sores is same for both the viruses but the location or part of the body they affect is different. HSV-1 affects the oral region in human and HSV-2 affect the genital area of person which marks the difference in both the virus. The early symptoms are seen as redness near the genital area which may result in eruption in 2-3 weeks time. The redness is followed by itching and pain, which in later stages may swell. The swelling may range from mild to severe. Proper medication that too on time play crucial role in treatment of herpes as the medication is most effective and curable in the early stages. The more one delay, the more one suffers. So it’s better to follow early preventive measures. The symptoms may get unnoticed initially and may lead to delay in the treatment. As the time passes the outbreak also becomes less severe due to presence of virus for long time and proper treatment being given and hence the number of frequency is declined and even the outbreaks are less painful in future. Herpes starts with small red dots and slowly turns into blisters which are filled with fluid. The fluid may be whitish, reddish or clear. The blister may vary from a big one to lots in small number. The next stage of herpes is followed by oozing of fluid from blisters, after which they may appear like a cut and may itch even with a touch. Blister is most painful in this stage. This pain can be cured by applying cream and ointment like Aloe Vera. After outbreak of blisters the healing process begins. This marks the final stages of herpes. The wound begin to dry. Now the role of white blood cells comes where the fibrogen present in the blood makes the wound dry. After this the body can produce new skin to cover the outbreak. The scab formed will fall down and the new skin will appear and cover the outbreak. The new skin formed marks the end of stages of herpes.
